Gavi- my first try

read this Cortese grape while doing WSET. Finally got to try it. Lemon, green apple aroma w a light floral aroma(much much lesser than Sauvignon Blanc). This bottle not as acidic as described.

Compared to Loire, S Africa prob due to warmer climate, has more pear, green apple, w tinge of nectarine.Swartland more complex compared to costal region interesting wine. Fresh black fruits of berry/ cherry + spicy  quite a while to taste a Carmenere. The history behind how this grape varietal ended up n thrived in Chile is just amazing.
