Divin de Corbin 2018, St Emillion

 Medium to deep ruby. Black fruits- black cherry+ plums. Spicy - pepper, liquorice tinge.smoky woody.acidic high w tanin. Balance. Medium intensity w some restraint. Finished long. 

2nd wine of Ch Corbin ( 80% merlot + 20% cab franc- that prob adds the acidity n spicy intensity)

2018 Winter was easy w plenty of rain, which unfortunately also carried through spring. This was rescued by a warn, hot and dry summer all the way thr harvest n hence giving very good quality grape w opulent aroma.I can deduce that's why 80% merlot in this 2nd wine. Was told this wine was meant for early drinking (prob due to medium intensity)

Drinking the next day, the tertiary aroma of chocolate + coffee appears.surprise for a 2018 wine
